BREAKING: Richard Jefferson to retire

Following their title-clinching victory over the Golden State Warriors, Richard Jefferson has announced that he is retiring.

The 35-year-old has played in the NBA for 15 years with the New Jersey Nets, Milwaukee Bucks, San Antonio Spurs, Golden State Warriors, Utah Jazz, Dallas Mavericks and of course the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Despite never being named to an All-Star team, Jefferson will be best remembered for his time spent with the New Jersey Nets alongside Vince Carter.

His best scoring season came in the 2007/08 season, averaging 22.6 points per game.
