A report from Germany has suggested that Arsenal have made a formal bid for Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Granit Xhaka.
The £30million offer will see the 23-year-old replace an ageing midfield which includes Tomas Rosicky, Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini to name a few.
The Swiss midfielder stands at 185cm tall and has been a defensive presence for Borussia Mönchengladbach throughout their Champions League campaign this season.
Xhaka ranks inside the top fifteen for midfielders in both blocked shots and clearances across the Bundesliga and has been heavily linked to Arsenal for the majority of the season.
With The Emirates Stadium now fully paid off and another underwhelming season under his belt, one would expect Arsene Wenger to reach into his pocket and finally spend some money.
